Marvel will be finally giving Black Widow her own movie.

This comes after a report from indicating Jac Schaeffer (“TiMER,” “Nasty Women”) has been hired to pen the project for Marvel Studios. Variety cautions the standalone film is still in the very early stages of development and has yet to receive the green light.

Marvel’s Kevin Feige reportedly hand-picked Schaeffer after meeting with several candidates, and the studio has already discussed a potential solo outing with actress Scarlett Johansson who will reprise the titular role she’s played in multiple films now.

The deadly Russian spy turned superhero first appeared in Iron Man 2 and has since become a leader of The Avengers, all the way up to and including Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4, out this year and next. She’s a huge star and a big player in the universe so, Variety says, she was also brought in to discuss what she’d like to see in the movie.
