Darkseid..Dc’s biggest baddy was supposed to make an appearance in Justice League Movie.

It’s been clear for quite some time that the version of Justice League that made it into theaters went through extensive changes. Fans have devoted considerable energy to wondering how things would have turned out if its production hadn’t been so troubled, or if original director Zack Snyder had been able to complete the film, rather than have its reshoot and post production process overseen by Joss Whedon.

We had reported here some of the scenes which were cut off the film which you can READ HERE.

Kevin Smith has expressed his support for the campaign related to the release of the Zack Snyder version of Justice League, and he opened an article and started reading some changes that took place between the film’s initial screening and its ultimate theatrical version.

“Superman joins the fight and teams up with the League to defeat Steppenwolf, however, at one point, Steppenwolf tries to tempt Superman into joining his army, ready for this,” Smith mentioned on his Fatman on Batman podcast. “This made me so f**king angry, and we see Darkseid for the first time in Superman’s vision, and we see flashes of the nightmare footage that Batman had in Batman v Superman. However, Superman snaps back out of it and delivers the final blow to defeat Steppenwolf.”

Darkseid would have been a major impact on the film which could in turn tease what is to come in the future films like how Marvel are doing with Thanos and Infinity War, but this folks had to cut off the best parts.

A person present at the podcast’s recording and had also seen the earlier screening of the movie reiterated the article’s authenticity for Smith. She also observed that Darkseid’s appearance in the earlier screening wasn’t completely “finished.”

Justice League is currently playing in theaters and the film stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Raymond Fisher as Cyborg, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Amber Heard as Mera and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon.
