Now with Pokémon GO taking the world by storm, and Nintendo stocks booming, it’s probably a good time to get a movie in the works.

Yes, there have been many straight to DVD Pokémon movies, and many not even released in the U.S. But we’re not talking about that. We’re talking about a wide release, big budget Pokémon movie.

According to Deadline, Legendary is trying to obtain the film rights to Pokémon.

Rumors are also circling the Max Landis (Chronicle) could pen the screen play. No word on a director.

Legendary also produced Warcraft, another video game movie, which didn’t do too well domestically but did wonders in China.
